Property Maintenance Officer Vacancy – Darwin NT 

  • Salary: AS05 ($69,203 to $73,379)
  • Superannuation: 14%
  • Based on Darwin
  • Other allowances under the enterprise agreement (district allowance, leave loading, annual airfare)
  • Will relocate the successful candidate if required – relocation allowance payable in addition to relocation approx. $2,698 – taxable

The Property Maintenance Officer will be responsible for a wide range of property and facility management related functions, which are integral to supporting the organisation's strategic objectives and continuity of business operations through the provision of property management services, systems and infrastructure. This includes the management of both owned and leased commercial and residential properties across the organisation's network.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Ensure that all property and facility management issues are resolved effectively and efficiently, including escalating any issues to the Property Officer
  • Maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders to foster good working relationships that encourage an environment of ongoing education, compliance and continuous improvement
  • Assist with the preparation of procurement of assets (property/infrastructure), as well risk management and insurance benchmarking activities.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of Employee Residential leases including receipting and refunding of bonds, this also includes managing property / facility contracts on an ongoing basis
  • Responsible for the management, liaison and coordination with contractors in regards to all building repairs and maintenance, including the procurement of items and/assets whilst ensuring that all activities are recorded accurately. This includes undertaking low level reactive maintenance tasks

Requirements 

  • Previous experience in trades or building maintenance within residential/commercial environments
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in residential or commercial properties
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural, interpersonal and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively liaise, engage and coordinate across an organisation and to build productive working relationships with work colleagues, constituents and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills, good attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy, with the ability to determine work priorities, including working with minimal supervision
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence and the ability and willingness to undertake remote travel in a manual 4WD vehicle or light aircraft.
