-Salary $47.90 to $60.86

The Accountant is responsible for assisting the Corporate Finance & Business Finance streams in providing accurate and timely statutory financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

Provide expert risk based financial services and advice, including annual financial statement and budget reporting, policy development, reconciliations and other external compliance items.

• Proactively analyse, interpret and report on financial results, forecasts, budget and performance to targets, identifying insights and risk.
• Prepare moth end accrual journals and reconciliations to assist with prep of monthly management reports and external reporting.
• Assist in prep, calculations and lodgement of monthly Payroll Tax and BAS, along with Annual FBT and Taxable Payment reporting to the ATO
• Build process and procedures with focus on continuous improvement ensuring compliance
• Prepare of take part in the provision of all internal and external reporting in a timely and accurate manner
• Update and maintain the Fixed Asset Register
• Assist with the development and review of accounting policies and procedures

Experience

Significant demonstrable knowledge and experience in preparing complex budgets and analysis of financial reports

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in reporting and compliance in a commercial environment

Previous experience in a corporate accounting environment is highly advantageous

Familiarity with activity-based costings for a number of business units or profit centres
