Scrum Master

All Aspects Recruitment & HR Services are currently seeking Scrum Master for a temporary role for approx. 12 months.

Duties include:

  • Design, document and gain agreement on an Agile Delivery Framework including processes, practices and tools.
  • Lead, facilitate and optimise Agile project delivery and Scrum ceremonies, ensuring efficient Sprint execution and continuous improvement.
  • Guide and coach teams and individuals in relevant agile/scrum principles, team practices and processes to increase scrum maturity, support productive interactions, relationships and achievement of deliverables.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to develop and facilitate team communication and collaboration strategies, including daily stand-up meetings, iteration planning, team demonstrations, iteration retrospectives and planning events, to monitor work progress, manage issues arising and organise work to best support team productivity.
  • Work with the Product Manager and facilitate team understanding of the project delivery road maps and refinement of user stories to support estimations of time and effort for implementation and effective planning for sprint cycles.
  • Manage product backlogs and work with the Product Manager to prioritise the user stories and the delivery teams to elaborate user stories.
  • Develop and implement processes to identify and remove impediments and blockers to delivery success and support the team in collaborative problem solving and self-organisation to implement solutions.
  • Support the team to develop and implement strategies that effectively deal with unpredictability, changes in requirements and product complexities to improve team agility and effectively meet delivery requirements.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in related field or equivalent significant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master/Lead in a similar capacity in a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience applying agile principles to support successful project delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring and supporting teams to adopt new practices aimed at enhancing flexibility, responsiveness and delivery success.
  • Experience identifying issues, impediments and blockers to work progress at critical project stages and facilitating team solutions to address these.
  • Applied knowledge and understanding of software development and release processes and procedures.
  • Extensive Jira/Confluence experience.
