Road Train Driver - FIFO

The Client

Due to their ever-growing business needs; Our client who is an Australian provider of specialised transport and logistics, mining, equipment hires, and maintenance and aviation services, have vacancies for qualified Road Train Drivers in various locations;

FIFO is offered from all capital cities and relevant camp/site accommodation & meals are provided

  • $39.10 per hour Permanent Rate or Casual rate may be considered
  • Rolling Roster 4 weeks on: 2 weeks off
  • Employee Benefits including: Bupa Health Insurance, LeasePlan & Employee Assistance Program
  • Uniforms provided

As a qualified Road Train Driver, with an MC License, you will be required to operate T909 Kenworth’s towing Super quad or Quin 60m Side Tipping Combinations to various locations.

Some locations have a pre-requisite that you have previous Tipper and Front-End Loader experience.

Training

New employees will generally complete 3 days training with one of their experienced trainers. Drivers then head out with an experienced driver trainer for a further 4 days to complete a final Verification of Competency.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current Multi-Combination (MC) Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment commercial driver medical including Lab DAS
  • Previous demonstrated experience in side tipper and road train operations would be preferred.
  • You will need to be a mature minded person, with a strong focus on safety
  • National Police Clearance (or be willing to obtain)
  • Experienced in driving heavy bulk vehicles and other heavy machinery
  • Knowledge and understanding of Main Road Heavy vehicle legislation and permitting standards
  • Ability to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolution
  • Ability to work well within a small team environment
