We are seeking a Female GTO Field Officer that has experience working in Indigenous Communtities.

Hours: 35 hours per week with a Salary that matches your skills and abilities, this position is a Darwin based position with the ability to travel to the Tiwi Islands on a regular bsis.

Join us as a GTO Field Officer, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting Trainees and Apprentices on their journey to qualification and career success. In this engaging and dynamic role, you will collaborate with trainees, employers, and training providers to facilitate meaningful outcomes that enhance the skills and qualifications of Indigenous people.

Responsibilities
- Travel and Support: Regularly visit the select community locations to provide face-to-face support to Trainees, Apprentices, and School-based apprentices, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.
- Capacity Building: Engage with trainees, employers, and training providers to enhance their ability to manage workloads and study requirements, increasing the likelihood of successful program completion.
- Safety Promotion: Advocate for high standards of Work Health Safety awareness in the workplace for all Trainees and Apprentices.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships with external and internal stakeholders to highlight the benefits of having qualified staff for local employers.
- Documentation and Compliance: Accurately record and capture evidence of trainee progress, ensuring compliance with Group Training standards.
- Network Development: Establish a comprehensive network of Training Organisations and support logistical requirements for study blocks.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and timely data records in line with Group Training compliance requirements.
- Reporting: Provide information and reports as required by management, contributing to organizational transparency and accountability.
- Participation: Actively engage in meetings, training, and development opportunities to enhance personal and organizational growth.

Qualifications
- **Experience:** At least 4 years in a similar role, with industry experience and first hand knowledge of Group Training Standards and related legislation.
- **Customer Service:** High level of customer service skills and awareness of cross-cultural dynamics in a remote community setting.
- **Task Management:** Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- **Communication:** Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- **Team Collaboration:** Willingness to work collaboratively within a large team, contributing to shared goals and community outcomes.
- **Desirable:** Certificate IV in Employment Services/Community Services or relevant qualification, or equivalent industry experience.

Day-to-Day
- **Community Engagement:** Travel to the select community to engage with trainees and apprentices, providing support and guidance to ensure their success.
- **Progress Monitoring:** Regularly assess trainee progress against benchmarks, offering feedback and support to facilitate completion.
- **Safety Advocacy:** Promote workplace safety standards, ensuring trainees and apprentices are aware of best practices.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration:** Work closely with employers and training providers to build capacity and enhance program outcomes.
- **Data and Reporting:** Maintain accurate records and provide timely reports to management, ensuring compliance and transparency.
- **Team Participation:** Engage in team meetings and training sessions, contributing insights and feedback to shape organizational strategy.
