Administration Assistant – Wangkumarra Kawalanyi Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (WKAC) NSW/QLD/SA

Identified Position

 Salary/Remuneration

  • $63,318 - $74,073 per annum (inclusive of superannuation) negotiable
  • Hybrid with travel until WKAC offices are established for base operations
  • Permanent offer

 Position Purpose

The Administration Officer provides administrative, governance and operational support to the CEO and WKAC Board of Directors. This role plays a key part in ensuring WKAC operates effectively by supporting communications, records management, meeting coordination and day-to-day organisational administration.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative support, Board & Governance support, finance administration, stakeholder coordination

Essential

  • High level written and verbal communication, assist develop draft funding applications.
  • Meet deadlines and co-ordinate effectively, strong administrative and organisation with use of Microsoft Office, familiarity with office equipment, data entry and, software
  • Use initiative improving administrative systems and work practices and demonstrated ability to maintain electronic and hard copy records with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivation in identifying tasks and able to follow directions and seek advice
  • Demonstrated networking and liaison skills with a variety of government agencies and non-government organisations

Qualifications and Certificates: Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or equivalent

Desirable - Knowledge of roles, functions and regulatory environment of RNTBC’s, PBC Regulations, ORIC and Corporations (Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders) Act 2006 (CATSI Act). Experience working with Aboriginal organisations or communities, experience supporting boards or committees and knowledge of governance or compliance processes.

Mandatory Requirements

Willing to produce or obtain Police check, Working with Children and full driver’s licence.
