As our client continues to expand our operations in the Northern Territory, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated HSEQ - Site Operations Support professional to join their dynamic team on casual labour hire. This role will be crucial in ensuring the seamless and safe execution of site operations, from site maintenance to HSE support across our renewable energy projects.
Role Overview:
As the HSEQ - Site Operations Support, you will play a key role in managing, coordinating, and monitoring day-to-day site operations, working closely with the HSEQ Lead. You will be accountable for providing expert Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) support and advice to ensure that all field activities, maintenance work, and contractor operations comply with safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Site Maintenance & Operations Management:
Coordinate and monitor site maintenance activities, work programs, and ensure the upkeep of equipment and facilities. Ensure the implementation of safety controls and operational excellence at all times. -
HSEQ Support & Advice:
Provide HSE advice, assistance, and guidance on all matters relating to safety, health, and environmental risks associated with site operations. Support the implementation of HSEQ procedures, policies, and standards. -
Contractor Management:
Oversee and manage contractors on-site to ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements. Conduct regular assessments and performance evaluations to guarantee contractors meet company standards and regulatory requirements. -
Work Program & Assets Management:
Collaborate with teams to review and implement effective work programs. Ensure the efficient management of assets, facilities, and equipment used in daily operations, addressing any issues that may arise. -
Field Activities & Surveys:
Support field activities and site surveys by ensuring that all safety and environmental considerations are taken into account, providing on-the-ground safety leadership during activities. -
Risk Management & Safety Controls:
Proactively identify potential risks in field operations and work programs, implementing corrective actions and safety controls. Ensure a safe working environment by leading safety initiatives and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a similar HSEQ, site operations, or field-based role, ideally within the renewable energy or construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations.
- Experience with contractor management, ensuring safety standards and performance metrics are met.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Previous experience working in the Northern Territory or other remote locations is an advantage.
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote sites as required.
