Policy & Quality Officer

All Aspects Recruitment & HR Services are currently seeking an experienced Policy & Quality Officer for a temporary role for approx. 6 months with possible extension.

  • Classification: Administration and Corporate Services Band 3
  • Job Type: Temporary
  • Business Unit: Safety, People and Governance

Administering the Controlled Document Framework, providing technical guidance on developing, monitoring, interpreting, understanding policies and procedures, including policy and procedure quality control, whilst working with controlled document owners to implement and maintain the framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the administration of the controlled document process and undertaking quality assurance activities, and maintaining the document register and published controlled documents portal.
  • Support the Principal Enterprise Compliance in providing independent reporting to the Board, committees and our regulators.
  • Assist the Principal Enterprise Compliance in the maintenance and regular update of the Compliance Management Framework and Controlled Document Framework.
  • Respond promptly to internal customer requests related to controlled documents and other compliance matters.

Requirements:    

  • Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on developing, monitoring, interpreting and understanding policies and procedures, in line with the Controlled Document Framework.
  • Previous experience interpreting and applying knowledge of laws, regulations and development and maintenance of compliance policies or a similar discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to write clearly and concisely in plain English and an ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures.
  • The ability to makes sense of complex information, identify key issues, and evaluate the potential impact of policy options. This involves critical thinking and problem-solving to ensure policies are effective and align with business objectives.
  • Experience undertaking compliance monitoring and reporting programs and maintenance and updating of a compliance management framework or similar discipline.
