Learning and Development Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Learning and Development Coordinator to support the delivery and continuous improvement of learning and development initiatives across the organisation.

This role is responsible for coordinating the full training lifecycle, providing exceptional administrative support, maintaining learning systems and records, and acting as a key point of contact for all learning and development enquiries. Working closely with learning specialists and subject matter experts, you will contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of training programs that support organisational capability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Learning and Development Administration

  • Provide end-to-end administrative coordination for internal and external training programs.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and event management platforms.
  • Create, maintain and continuously improve learning and development processes.
  • Coordinate training venues, catering, travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Manage learning-related contracts, invoicing and financial administration.
  • Maintain accurate learning records and databases.
  • Analyse training data, participation rates and feedback to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and training metrics as required.

Internal Training Coordination

  • Serve as the primary contact for internal learning and development enquiries.
  • Monitor and follow up mandatory training compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of annual training calendars.
  • Maintain internal training resources and online learning portals.

External Training Coordination

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external training enquiries.
  • Coordinate and support the delivery of external training programs and events.
  • Promote learning opportunities and training events.
  • Manage registrations and provide event administration and delivery support.
  • Maintain external training information and resources.

Course Development and Instructional Design

  • Support the creation and maintenance of training materials, presentations and learning resources.
  • Assist with the review and continuous improvement of learning programs.
  • Develop self-paced eLearning modules using Articulate or similar authoring tools.

Facilitator and Faculty Support

  • Assist with the development of facilitator resources and processes.
  • Support trainers and subject matter experts in the preparation and delivery of learning programs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Learning and Development, Training Coordination or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end training programs and learning administration.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems and managing training data.
  • Instructional design experience, including the use of Articulate or similar eLearning development tools.
  • A proactive, self-motivated and adaptable approach to work.

Desirable

  • Experience facilitating training sessions, workshops or onboarding programs.
  • Experience supporting both internal and external learning programs.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain:

  • A satisfactory National Police Check.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
