Senior Operations Coordinator – NT Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Team (Maternity Leave Cover)

Location: Northern Territory (NT) – Travel required within CBD, regional, and remote locations

Position: Full-time, Maternity Leave Cover (7-month contract, with potential for extension based on staffing needs)

Reporting To: Directors, NT and QLD

Join our dynamic team in the Northern Territory (NT) as a Senior Operations Coordinator, covering maternity leave for a period of 7 months. In this vital role, you will manage and optimize the operations of our recruitment and talent acquisition team, driving impactful solutions across workforce solutions, account management, relationship building, and candidate management.

As a Senior Operations Coordinator, you will directly report to the Directors in NT and QLD, ensuring smooth operational flow while maintaining compliance with HR and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) legislation. Your ability to interpret and apply these regulations will be essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Operations & Workforce Solutions: Oversee the operations of the NT recruitment and talent acquisition team, ensuring seamless execution of workforce solutions and efficient service delivery.
  • Account & Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, managing expectations and delivering exceptional service.
  • Candidate & Applicant Management: Lead the recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to final placement, ensuring a positive experience for both candidates and clients.
  • Compliance & Legislation: Interpret and apply HR and WHS legislation, ensuring all activities and processes align with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Contract Development & Service Quotes: Prepare and manage labour hire agreements, contracts, and detailed quotes for client services.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Oversee the management of key data, including HRAS system maintenance, auditing, and accurate reporting of operational activities.
  • Project Management: Support various project initiatives, managing timelines, deliverables, and key activities as required.
  • Task Delegation & Communication: Efficiently delegate tasks to team members, managing workflows and lines of communication within the team and with clients.
  • Travel Support: Provide support and engagement with clients and employees through travel to CBD, regional, and remote locations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in operations coordination, HR, or recruitment with strong expertise in workforce management.
  • Solid understanding of HR, WHS legislation, and regulatory compliance with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with a client-first mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in HRAS systems, data management, and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to delegate effectively and lead teams.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach to managing challenges.
  • Valid NT Driver’s License (essential for travel within the region).
  • Flexibility to travel as required to regional and remote locations.
