We’re Recruiting: Human Resources Manager 

 IMMEDIATE START

As a HR Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership to implement strategic and operational HR functions that support staff wellbeing, organisational growth, and community connection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead HR strategy, recruitment, onboarding, and performance systems
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations, compliance, and workforce planning
  • Promote staff development, wellbeing, and cultural engagement
  • Oversee WHS and HRIS systems, ensuring strong governance and record-keeping
  • Travel occasionally to rural areas in the Darwin region to support outreach and staff engagement

Selection Criteria (Essential):

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, ER, or related field—or 10+ years’ equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR communications, policies, and reporting
  • Strong organisational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven recruitment and onboarding experience
  • Understanding of Aboriginal cultures and employment issues in the NT
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MYOB, and HRIS
  • Experience applying awards, enterprise agreements, and legislation
  • Experience onboarding and implementing HR systems

Desirable:

  • Experience leading organisational change and transformation
  • Identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (This position is identified for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and is intended to constitute a special measure under S8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), and S57 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1996 (NT))

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to rural Darwin areas as required
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance and Ochre Card
  • Two verifiable referees required
  • Final candidates will undergo drug and alcohol testing
